How do I know if I’m addicted to socks?

January 27, 2010

It started with the 3-pack gift box.  They were sold out so I bought a pair of the heavier PhD ones in maroon.

I then wore them until I wore holes in the bottom of both of them.  I had to go buy more.

I think I might be addicted to Smartwool socks.

I buy mine at TitleNine on 4th Street… because I love shopping in a store that has quotes from Gilda Radner and Julia Child on the wall.

I need more socks.  I have to have more socks.  I think this is an addiction.

admitting you have a problem is the first step towards recovery…or at least being able to live with a good relationship to your addiction =)

Hi. My name is Laura. I, too, am a sock addict. Long, short, polkadots, stripes — I want them, I need them, I just gotta have them.

Thanks for sharing. I know I’m not the only one anymore.

If you wear them out, you are not addicted. Sock addicts have zillions of socks they never wear. I’d call you a “collector.” 😀

You are very kind – but I’m buying 3 pairs to 1 pair wearing out…. this is not to say I don’t plan to wear all 3 of the new one into oblivion… so Collector it is!
